Leicestershire Law Society President 2017/2018 - Jonathan Foster

Emery Johnson Astills are proud to announce the appointment of Jonathan Foster as Leicestershire Law Society President. Jonathan Foster is a Partner at Emery Johnson Astills and joined us in 2012, as a solicitor in our family department. Jonathan has been an active member of the Leicestershire Law Society for many years.

Last week Leicestershire Law Society held their Annual General Meeting and after a review of the year, the meeting saw the official inauguration of Jonathan as President, with members of Emery Johnson Astills team present to support him.

Jonathan will be President for one year during which time he will be the face of Leicestershire Law Society. We know that Jonathan has some very exciting plans for this year to support the society and we look forward to the upcoming events.

Jonathan said “It is a privilege to become President of the Leicestershire Law Society. I am determined to ensure that my presidential year continues to promote the aims of Leicestershire Law Society whilst also uniting members of the profession locally. My intention this year is to increase the momentum of social/networking events, collaborating, where possible with other local professionals”.

As President, Jonathan’s chosen charity for the year is PROSTaid. Fundraising events will take place throughout the year to support the charity. PROSTaid provides information and counselling for all prostate cancer and prostate disease sufferers and their families.
