Kate Wisbach – Solicitor

Kate left the East Midlands to study at Durham University, where she graduated with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages in 2017. She initially worked in Sunderland and Newcastle-upon-Tyne as a charity project manager, before qualifying as an immigration caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme in 2021.

Kate WisbachWhile working full-time, Kate completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) with the support of the Social Welfare Solicitors’ Qualification Fund and qualified as a solicitor in December 2024. In July 2025, she returned to the Midlands to join the Crime Team at Johnson Astills.

Kate deals with all aspects of Criminal Defence at the Magistrates’ Court, including:

  • Public Order Offences
  • Knife Crime
  • Burglary and theft
  • Assault
  • Drug Offences
  • Sexual Offences
  • Road Traffic Offences

Kate is also an IAAS accredited Senior Caseworker.

Kate is fluent in French, German and Spanish.
