Kate Wisbach – Solicitor

Kate left the East Midlands to study at Durham University, where she graduated with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages in 2017. She initially worked in Sunderland and Newcastle-upon-Tyne as a charity project manager, before qualifying as an immigration caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme in 2021.

Kate WisbachWhile working full-time, Kate completed the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) with the support of the Social Welfare Solicitors’ Qualification Fund and qualified as a solicitor in December 2024. In July 2025, she returned to the Midlands to join the Crime Team at Johnson Astills where she became a Police Station Representative in April 2026 and qualified as a Duty Solicitor in September 2026.

Kate deals with all aspects of Criminal Defence in the Youth Court and the Magistrates’ Court, including:

  • Public Order Offences
  • Knife Crime
  • Burglary and theft
  • Assault
  • Drug Offences
  • Sexual Offences
  • Road Traffic Offences

Professional information

Kate is an accredited Police Station Representative and regularly represents clients at the Police Station.

Kate is a Duty Solicitor.

Kate is also an IAAS accredited Senior Caseworker.

Kate is fluent in French, German and Spanish.
