Charly Pointon – Paralegal

Charly is a Paralegal within the Family Team at Johnson Astills Solicitors, where she joined in November 2025. She began her career in the legal industry in April 2023 while completing her bachelor’s degree in law at Coventry University, where she was awarded a First-Class Degree in July 2025. Charly is currently completing a master’s degree in legal Practice with the College of Legal Practice and passed her SQE 1 examinations in January 2026.

Charly assists with a variety of family matters, including:

  • Divorce, judicial separation and dissolution of civil partnerships
  • Financial settlements on divorce and between unmarried couples
  • Private Children Act matters, such as Child Arrangement Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders

Outside of her professional work, Charly enjoys attending networking events with groups such as Leicestershire Hotshots and the Leicestershire Junior Lawyer’s Division, where she connects with other professionals.
